The Cover-Ups playing LIVE! Food Truck: Jammin' Jamaican Cuisine

Participating winemakers are invited to bring wines (especially 2020 vintage) to the workshop for a blind, anonymous tasting. The wines will be discussed, feedback will be written on tasting sheets and returned to the winemakers. Winemakers will NOT be revealed during the event. This course is designed to provide practical experience in winter vineyard operations.

Presentation by Highland Viticulture Instructor Candice Fitch-Deitz followed by pruning demonstration and hands-on pruning practice at Dave's home vineyard. Send private message for location.

This course is designed to introduce students to current practices for establishing a commercial vineyard and maintaining its health and productivity. Topics include varietal selection, site selection, site preparation, equipment, first season establishment, vine growth development and training, trellis systems, vine propagation, weed control, and vine disease control.
